Here is what we need in the third grade classroom:
Classroom Readers and Listeners
Volunteer for ten or fifteen minutes (or more!) at a time with the whole group, a small group or even a single child; choose books you or your child would like to hear! We are also working on improving reading skills and would like to have people listen to us practice.
Craft Preppers
Preparing craft materials can take a lot of time. If you would
like to help, let me know a few days ahead and I can be sure to get you the materials you will need. Technology Helpers
Our students love using the computers and iPads every day in the classroom but may need help with developing new technology skills. The more volunteers we get for technology the more we can experiment with creating projects with our equipment.
Classroom Wish List
If you would like to purchase items for our room, we need the following items:
--Plastic sleeves/sheet protectors --Snack crackers --Command hooks and tape --Clorox wipes --3-M packing tape --Dry erase markers --Paper towels Bulletin Board Volunteer
We generate a tremendous amount of quality work in third grade. It deserves to be displayed so students and parents can admire the projects. If you like to design fun bulletin boards, we can use your talents!
Classroom Speakers
Our students love to learn about travel, careers and hobbies. If you would like to come and talk about your experiences we would love to have you visit.

Center Supervisors
Reading and math centers need volunteer monitors to keep everyone learning. These centers take place in the morning and are so important for academic progress. This is about a one-hour commitment that will keep you interacting closely with small groups and individual students.
Special Talents?
If you have a special talent or a volunteering idea that was not listed here, let Mrs. Magnuson know and we will set up a volunteer opportunity for you. We are always looking for something new!
